Job Summary:
The Manager of E-commerce is responsible for developing, managing, and executing the overall e-commerce strategy to drive online revenue, improve customer experience, and grow market share across digital channels. This leadership role will oversee all aspects of the e-commerce business, including website management, online sales, digital marketing, customer experience, and operational performance. The ideal candidate will have a data-driven mindset, deep knowledge of e-commerce best practices, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively. Essential Functions:
E-commerce Strategy & Growth:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce strategy to meet revenue, conversion, and growth targets.
- Identify new business opportunities, trends, and innovations within the e-commerce space.
- Drive online sales and profitability through data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
- Align e-commerce strategies with the company’s overall business objectives and branding.
Website & Platform Management:
- Oversee the design, development, and optimization of e-commerce websites and related platforms.
- Ensure websites are user-friendly, mobile-optimized, and deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Manage product listings, pricing strategies, and product availability.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to maintain website performance, security, and uptime.
Digital Marketing & Customer Acquisition:
- Lead and manage digital marketing efforts to increase website traffic, conversions, and customer retention.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to optimize SEO, paid media, email marketing, social media, and affiliate programs.
- Leverage analytics to track campaign performance and make real-time adjustments.
- Drive personalization and engagement strategies to enhance the customer journey.
Operations & Fulfillment Coordination:
- Work closely with fulfillment, operations, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and efficient order processing.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve escalated issues and improve satisfaction.
- Ensure inventory management and availability are aligned with online sales strategies.
Data & Performance Analytics:
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, including conversion rates, AOV, CAC, and ROAS.
- Use Google Analytics, Shopify, Shift4Shop or other tools to track KPIs and make data-driven decisions.
- Provide regular performance reports to senior leadership, identifying challenges and opportunities.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and develop a high-performing e-commerce team, including marketing, operations, and development professionals.
- Foster a collaborative work environment, ensuring cross-functional alignment.
- Set team goals, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5 years of e-commerce experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven success in developing and scaling e-commerce platforms, preferably Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, or similar.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, email, and social media.
- Proficiency in analytics tools (Google Analytics, Excel, BI platforms).
- Experience managing multi-channel sales and B2B/B2C e-commerce environments.
- Exceptional leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights to drive results.
- Knowledge of UX/UI design principles, website development, and payment solutions.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in automotive, retail, or performance parts industries.
- Familiarity with Amazon Marketplace.
- Knowledge of supply chain logistics and inventory management systems.
