Primary Function:
Primarily responsible for reviewing and aiding in the development and negotiation of contracts and contract changes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews draft contracts and terms and conditions from customers for the various business units.
  • Identifies areas of risk within the documents and provides mitigation strategies including alternative language.
  • Aids Account Managers in the negotiation of terms and conditions
  • Supports the development of teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other business documents.
  • Assists the Procurement Department in the development of subcontracts.
  • Assists Project Managers in the preparation of change order proposals.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics or like degree and a minimum of five years related experience.

Experience with contract negotiation and FAR/DFAR requirements.

Proficient with computer software including Microsoft Suite.

Experience with preparation, review, and negotiation of various company contracts.

Familiar with legal requirements and terms of use.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit in a stationary position for extended periods of time while working at a computer. The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet – typical of what is generally found in an office setting. The employee will occasionally find it necessary to enter a manufacturing environment. The manufacturing environment is typical of that type of setting – employees may be exposed to inclement weather, loud noises, tripping hazards; and there may be exposure to sparks, welding arc, open flame, and moving equipment.
