Primary Function:
Assist Journeyman or Master Electrician to install and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and complete installations or modifications of existing infrastructure - minimizing waste of materials, maintaining NEC code, customer requirements, and Premier Technology standards.
- Read blueprints, prepare sketches, and maintain documentation of the work process and completed projects.
- Troubleshoot circuitry in new and existing electrical systems, repair or recommend corrective action.
- Plan and install conduit run, pull, and terminate wiring. Wire motors, controls, lighting, switches, relays, panels, instrumentation, and other industrial complex needs.
- May perform other routine duties.
- A high degree of travel, 60-70%, is a requirement of this job.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience for Electrical Apprenticeship 1 and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
One to two years related experience for Electrical Apprentice 2 and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two to three years related experience for 3rd Year Electrical Apprenticeship and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three to four years related experience for 4th Year Electrical Apprentice and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Individual must attend appropriate online apprenticeship schooling in conjunction with daily work activities.
- Current Idaho Electrical Apprentice license required.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The job may require climbing of ladders and/or stairs. The employee will often lift heavy pieces of metal, work with arms overhead, torso twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, often for extended periods; the employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move weight above 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include strong visual acuity (with or without correction), color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Long hours (10 or more) are often scheduled, and job may require overtime and travel.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, loud noises, tripping hazards, exposure to sparks, welding arc, and open flame. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, mild industrial chemicals, inclement weather, risk of electrical shock and vibration. It is essential for employees to maintain awareness of their surroundings and when required, wear the necessary PPE. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
