What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Technician position at Prescott Physical Therapy?
Prescott Physical Therapy is looking for a professional, friendly and organized Rehab Technician to be a part of our growing team. Our ideal candidate will be detail oriented, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, all while maintaining a welcoming presence with patients. The position will involve customer service, care, and assisting the Physical and Occupational Therapist.
Responsibilities:
· Work under the direct supervision of a physical/occupational therapist.
· Assist patients in the safe practice of activities related to the development of strength and endurance.
· Assist patients in dressing and undressing and putting on and removing supportive devices, such as braces and slings, prior to and after treatment.
· Support, turn and stabilize patients during treatments, test and evaluation.
· Assist with routine treatments such as hydrotherapy, hot and cold packs, paraffin baths, and massages.
· Observe patients for signs of fatigue and distress during treatment.
· Transport patients to and from treatment area and between conveyance and treatment equipment.
· Prepare and clean treatment equipment and therapy work area.
· Maintain department cleanliness and order.
· Record treatment and equipment used.
· Maintain patient safety while in the therapy department.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the therapist and/or administrator.
· Assist other office personnel including secretaries/receptionists as needed.
· Adheres to HIPAA regulations and guidelines
· Attend all scheduled staff meetings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
