At Preston Feather, a Cabinetry Designer goes beyond kitchen and baths and you can expect to be responsible for:
- Utilizing 2020 Design software to design cabinetry, casework, surfaces and storage system products for the entire home and outside living areas
- Working side-by-side with the building material sales team early in the building project process to develop design concepts and estimates
- for projects with builders, architects, interior designers and homeowners
- Translating accepted designs to initiate purchase orders from vendor partners, coordinating delivery of products to the jobsite, and developing installation instructions and drawings to facilitate a smooth process from start to finish
- Engaging as a collaborative member of the Preston Feather cabinetry design team across all company locations
Much of your time will be spent in the showroom with occasional travel to the project jobsite as needed for customer meetings, taking measurements, etc. This dynamic approach allows you to build and nurture collaborative partnerships, ensuring that customers feel valued and supported whether you are in or out of the showroom.

Required qualifications include:
- 2 years of kitchen and bath design experience in a related industry required; 5 years strongly preferred
- A high school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor’s degree in interior design is preferred
- Prior experience utilizing 20/20 design software preferred but not required
