Communications Specialist PT

Description

Develops strategies to deliver information, promote engagement and fundraising through communications, appeals, campaigns, and grant writing for the Prestonwood Pregnancy Center (“PPC”).

Responsibilities:

• Write print and digital promotional materials to increase donor engagement, enhance fundraising efforts, and motivate individuals to volunteer
• Write copy for website, marketing materials, reports, appeals, newsletters, and emails for donors and clients
• Responsible for researching, writing, compiling, and managing grants to ensure accurate and efficient collection for timely submission
• Research new opportunities that align with PPC’s mission
• Interface with Client Services and Medical Services staff regarding clients who are interested in sharing their stories
• Responsible for calling, scheduling, and interviewing clients for client stories, as well as writing stories for donor development use
• Write daily push notifications for donors
• Assist with volunteer projects and special events, including donor/volunteer appreciation events and other fundraising initiatives
• Develop partner relationships with outside organizations including churches
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministry  
• Passionate about the mission of PPC
• Pro-life in word and pro-love in action
• Education or experience in marketing, graphic design, communications, or donor development
• High level of confidentiality
• Excellent writing, communication, time management and project management skills
• Ability to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time, occasionally perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, pushing/pulling a cart, and lifting up to 10 pounds without assistance
