Position Summary:
Prime-Time Construction is seeking a highly motivated Architectural Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in drafting for residential or multifamily wood-frame construction. In this role, you will support the Architecture Studio by producing accurate and detailed construction drawings and assisting with various phases of project development.
The Architectural Drafter will work closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure that design intent is accurately translated into technical drawings and documentation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while growing your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed architectural drawings and construction documentation for residential and multifamily wood-frame projects using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Assist in the development of construction plans, elevations, sections, and details in line with project specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure accuracy and consistency of design documents.
- Conduct site visits as needed to gather measurements and document field conditions.
- Prepare presentations and visualizations to support design reviews and client meetings.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation for easy access by the project team.
- Assist in revising and updating drawings based on client and contractor feedback.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Drafting and Design Technology or a Drafting Certificate.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural drafting, specializing in residential or multifamily wood-frame construction.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard drafting software.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, detailing, and architectural standards.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
