Toddler classroom aide: 8:00am-3:30pm

The teacher aide is responsible for the care and supervision of all the children at the preschool. The individual is also responsible for assisting the lead teachers and teacher assistants in educating the children in a manner consistent with our Christian foundation and in accordance with the policies and philosophy of Prince of Peace Preschool.

Teachers' aides are responsible directly for the care and supervision of the children including, but not limited to, naps, snacks, playtime, diaper changing, potting, & group activities.

Qualifications:

1. Must have one of the following:

a. High School Diploma

b. Minimum 6 months experience directly working with young children.

2. Must have or apply for (prior to beginning work) a Fingerprint Clearance Card.

3. Must be First Aid and CPR trained.

4. Must enjoy working with children and be able to relate to them and their parents.

5. Must be in excellent health and provide proof of immunizations and a negative TB test.

6. Must be at least 18 years of age.

7. Must have an education philosophy that complements the philosophy of Prince of Peace Preschool.

8. Must be reliable and conscientious in carrying out assigned duties.

9. Must demonstrate a patient and loving attitude towards children.

10. Must submit all required paperwork before beginning work.

11. Must be physically able to complete the functions of the position, including but not limited to, lifting and carrying children.

12. Must be comfortable teaching the Christian faith to students.

13. Must be open and willing to work with other aides, teachers, teachers' assistants and administrators in a cooperative and respectful manner.
