Panel Saw Operator

We are currently seeking a Saw Operator to join our team. We are looking for candidates who are interested in a growth opportunity in a production environment who will train in various areas. This position involves manual labor and possible exposure to dust.

In this role, you will read Spec Sheets and make the adjustments for each job. You need to be able to read a tape measure and perform basic math to set stops and guides to the specified length of each job. While you operate the machine, it is important to look for any defects or issues.

• 1st shift hours are Monday-Thursday 7am-3:45pm and Fridays 7am-2:30pm
• May be eligible for a raise within first 30 days of employment
• May be eligible for Attendance Bonus Program after 30 days - Give yourself an extra $2 per hour just for working 40 hours a week!

Job Responsibilities

• Set up the saw machine, making adjustments for each job
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths
• Operate the saw machine, keeping an eye out for any defects or issues
• Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy
• Use accuracy when measuring and cutting boards and runners from spec sheets
• Check cuts before starting and during the course of the run to ensure accuracy
• Changing blades as they become dull using all safety measures
• Stack all outgoing material neatly in bunks provided
• Ensure all bunks removed are properly marked by size of lumber
• Accurately complete paperwork

Job Requirements

· Experience operating a panel saw

· Forklift experience a plus

· Basic math skills

· Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs.

· Attention to detail

· Ability to stand for 8-10 hours

· Enthusiastic, positive attitude

· Good interpersonal skills and communication

Experience is not required and training will be provided. Applicants must be able to read a tape measure, lift up to 50lbs, and be able to stand for 8 hours.
