Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee core accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledgers, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and inventory accounting.
- Coordinate and direct the budgeting and financial forecasting process.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Prepare and publish monthly financial statements.
- Research technical accounting issues to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Implement and monitor quality control processes for financial reporting and transactions.
- Manage tax filings and reporting for local, state, and federal government agencies.
- Develop and document accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
- Support investment strategies, cash flow management, and financial risk mitigation initiatives.
- Oversee cash flow management and ensure sufficient liquidity for business operations.
- Supervise the finance and accounting team.
- Manage vendor relationships and work closely with external auditors and stakeholders.
- Prepare reliable and accurate financial forecasting reports.
- Establish and oversee the company’s finance IT systems.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Lead and manage a team of financial controllers and analysts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller, finance officer, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, corporate financials, managerial reporting, and risk management practices.
- Proficient in data analysis and financial forecasting.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision and prioritize effectively.
- Prevailing wage experience is a MUST
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and financial management/accounting software (e.g., SAP, XERO); ability to adopt new technologies.
- CPA certification is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree (MBA) is a plus.
- Willing to provide references and consent to background checks (criminal, credit).
