Construction Safety Manager

Job Description

Our Customer in Chandler, AZ is seeking an on-site Safety Manager who will be responsible for administering the project safety programs to maintain a safe and healthy work environment at a construction site for a manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:

• Perform frequent safety audits of all work areas.
• Provide safety expertise in response to all identified deficiencies and requests for safety assistance.
• Prepare safety reports, lead safety briefings, serve as the company spokesperson on safety matters, and address all safety-related questions and concerns.
• Resolve all safety issues and coordinate emergency response as needed.
• Develop and implement safety program elements to comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Perform investigations of all injury and loss incidents, identify all causal factors, develop and implement measures to prevent recurrence, and follow up to ensure long-term resolution.
• Conduct safety training, testing, and record keeping for all employees (HazCom, Fall Protection, Energized Electrical Work, Lockout/Tag out, etc.)
• Coordinate with company management team and customer agencies to ensure all safety requirements are identified, communicated to employees, and fulfilled.
• Manage the safety program budget, planning, acquiring, controlling, and distributing all safety equipment, supplies, and training aids.
  
  

Skills and Experience:

• CPR – First Aid Certification
• OSHA 510 Certification Required
• Safety construction experience
• Construction Phase experience
• Electrical Industry Experience
• Ability to recognize hazardous situations & recommend corrective measures is essential
• Thorough understanding of all federal, state and local regulations
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities, with attention to detail and task tracking
• Skilled in prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities
• Capable of working under time constraints and adapting to evolving requirements with a proactive approach
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees
  
  

Working Conditions:

• General construction/work environment – sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted in both indoor and outdoor settings. Environmental conditions will vary.
