What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Supervisor position at PS Seasoning & Spices?
This position requires a self-driven, well-organized Quality/Sanitation Supervisor who can exercise decision making skills and time management with little supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager. This position supports the company with the responsibilities included below.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF, HACCP, GMP, allergen control, pest control and environmental monitoring programs.
- Manage sanitation team and chemical program.
- Initiates new process improvements and cost savings projects.
- Working with the plant to comply with customer requirements and maintain high industry standards.
- Lead training of sanitation team on procedure and processes.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation principles from a manufacturing background.
- Responsible for maintaining and enforcing all sanitation, food safety, employee safety and quality policies and procedures.
- Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP and other quality and employee safety programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain/create Master Sanitation Schedule as needed.
- Direct a team of up to 15 people
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2-3 Years’ experience in a quality leadership role
- Current work experience in food manufacturing with Sanitation, GMPs, and SQF is required.
- Strong computer skills, Word, Excel, Outlook
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact when working with cross functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects and adapt to changing deadlines.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Shift: 4:00pm - 2:00am
Pay Rate: $26 - $28 per hour Shift premium
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
