Position: Director of Operations, Water Treatment

Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for PVS Technologies’ Coagulant (i.e., Ferric Chloride) Manufacturing Operations. This person will report to the President of PVS Technologies.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

· Foster, Maintain and improve the strong safety culture that has been built over many years. This is the most important organizational and operational priority.

· Instill leadership principles throughout the PVS Technologies’ plant management team.

· Oversight of PVS’s Coagulant production sites in support of PVS Technologies’ sales objectives in coordination with sales, corporate logistics, customer service, and purchasing.

· Facilitate improvements of existing operations across PVS Technologies.

· Oversight of EPA / OSHA / Cl2 Institute / Fire Code site compliance at coagulant sites.

· Participate in annual strategic planning, capital allocation, project prioritization.

· Interface with corporate engineering to develop design packages for capital projects.

· Manage raw material input allocation to ferric plants to drive profitability.

· Oversight of OSHA PSM and EPA RPM requirements at PVS coagulant manufacturing sites

· Occasionally represent PVS to the community

· Upholding the values of the Nicholson Nine.

Required Education / Skills / Equivalent Experience:

· Relevant education or experience required, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering a strong plus

· Relevant experience in chloralkali or inorganic coagulants manufacturing a strong plus. Experience managing chlorine is required.

· Proven safety record.

· Demonstrated ability to lead an operations team consisting safely and effectively – consisting of facility management, operators, maintenance and engineers.

· Demonstrated professional demeanor, ethical conduct and excellent reputation for integrity.

· Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate, influence and negotiate with others.

· Supervisory/leadership experience including chemical/coagulants manufacturing.

· Willingness to take ownership and drive results.

· Willingness to mentor and coach engineers, operators, and plant managers to drive success.

· Ability to plan, prepare, and oversee new capital projects for PVS Technologies.

· Strong ability to work well with others on capital projects. Ability to interface with Senior management, other engineers, and facility personnel to ensure projects come in on-time and on-budget.

· Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle a diverse and significant workload.

· Strong verbal and written communications skills.

· Ability to travel as required to meet the goals and objectives of the organization.

· Proficient with MS Office applications-Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, AutoCAD

Location and Travel

· The position is based in Detroit Michigan;

· A willingness to drive long distances (including in the winter), fly commercial airlines and stay in hotels is required for this job.

· Sudden or unexpected travel may be required for the job

· Travel in the first year may be more than 40% in the first year as the successful candidate will have to spend time learning the intricacies of each plant.
