What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at PVS Chemicals?
Key Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):
- Office set up and repairs
- Painting
- Landscaping operations
- Member of snow removal team for the corporate building and campus
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment
- Perform minor fixes and cleaning
- Repair equipment and machinery
- Analyze equipment and machinery failures
- Uphold the fundamentals of the Nicholson Nine and Responsible Care Guiding principles. Environmental, Health, Safety and Security are a responsibility of every PVS employee
Physical requirements needed:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds with ease
- Ability to work at elevated heights
Required Education/Training/Equivalent Experience:
- Valid driver’s license - required
- PIT license - experience preferred
- Manlift license - experience preferred
- 3 - 5 years of building/equipment maintenance related experience
- Valid low pressure boiler operator license or HVAC experience
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- Familiar with problem solving techniques
- Dependable
- Positive attitude
- Computer literate
- Good communication skills
- People/team oriented
- Ability to be on call
OJT (Required within the initial employment period-varies per position and experience):
- Knowledgeable of all facility departments and specific functions
- Knowledgeable of building emergency and security procedures
