Manufacturing Quality Engineer

SUMMARY

A Manufacturing Quality Engineer supervises quality standards to ensure that manufacturing plants, both domestic and international, provide consistent, high-quality products or services. Their responsibilities include managing all aspects of quality, such as quality improvement, data analysis, product testing management, standards and documentation management, and supplier management.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing Quality Engineer needs strong managerial skills. Some of their regular duties and responsibilities include:

• Establishing and implementing the quality standards for products or services
• Monitoring quality testing and identifying gaps in the testing
• Standard management for raw materials and finished products
• Overseeing the quality assurance process
• Training other employees on quality procedures
• Handling quality reports and documentation
• Collecting and analyzing quality assurance data
• Working with suppliers to ensure the quality of supplies
• Troubleshoot quality issue.
• Collaborate internally with related departments.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.
• 3 years of extensive QA or QM experience in manufacturing
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Technical skills and comfort with databases and report generation software
• Flexibility to adapt to different tasks.
• Excellent logic and analytical abilities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Understanding of quality assurance processes and standards
• Able to cope with pressure, self-motivated and driven team player.
• Proactive approach toward various issues.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday
• Able to lift to 50 pounds without restriction
• Reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting as required within limits set by Q Cells
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in Korean (not mandatory)
• Completion of training on ISO9001 quality management system
