The Packaging Manager reports to the Director of Operations. As Packaging Manager at Quantix, your responsibilities go beyond daily management – you will be instrumental in implementing and maintaining processes to optimize our warehouse and packaging operations. Job Requirements
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily management of the all-site specific packaging lines through planning, production and customer needs.
- Ensure the inventory accuracy of all finished goods through inventory audits and signoffs.
- Develop, motivate, mentor and lead a diverse team of Supervisors and direct/indirect reports by providing coaching/counseling, guidance, feedback and support as needed while fostering a culture of inclusion and respect.
- Partner and collaborate with Maintenance Team and/or 3rd Party vendors to ensure all necessary maintenance and preventable maintenance is completed timely.
- Partner with Health, Safety, & Environment Leadership to establish and maintain a culture of Zero Harm to all employee through: compliance to safety rules and regulations, appropriate safety training, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), employee engagement, hazard identification and resolution, communication, accident/incident investigation, performing Safety Insight weekly/monthly training, compliance to “Operation Clean Sweep”, etc.
- Partner with Human Resources and site leadership to ensure a comprehensive hiring and training process of Supervisors and direct/indirect reports.
- Partner with Quality Team and Site Leadership to help develop and maintain quality processes including standardized processes, work instructions, best practices, labor plans to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiencies within the operation. Perform Quality Audits to reduce Quality Failures that results in CAPA’s or Claims. To investigate CAPA’s and Claims and be able to perform comprehensive RCA/5 Why analysis.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), including but not limited to productivity reports via Shop-Logix, Power BI, providing valuable insights to support informed decision-making and drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Manage the necessary materials needed for packaging operations. Obtain and manage Purchase Requisitions (via Tradogram) for purchasing the necessary supplies and equipment required for the operation.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferred.
- 1 years of industry experience, preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, required.
- Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management preferred.
- Leadership competencies include establishing expectations, goal setting, performance management, accountability, recognition, communication, etc.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Superior interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- “Big picture” thinking.
- General understanding of industrial equipment and warehousing operations.
- Strong problem solving, organizational, time management and analytical skills.
- Proven track record in meeting high expectations of quality standards.
- Knowledge of ISO, OSHA, DOT and other safety and regulatory standards.
