The AR Insurance Follow-up Specialist is responsible for managing and resolving outstanding insurance balances for physician billing.
This role involves:
Ensuring timely and accurate follow-up with insurance companies,
Analyzing and appealing denied claims, and
Maintaining accurate records of all activities.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in physician billing, a strong understanding of insurance processes, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in physician billing and insurance follow-up, required
Proven track record of successfully managing and resolving insurance claims and denials.
Strong knowledge of medical billing and coding, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and negotiation skills for effective interaction with insurance representatives and other stakeholders.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) certification is a plus.
Onsite | Monday to Friday | 8am to 5pm | $21-$25/hr. DOE
