Retail Sales Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting them with their shopping needs. You will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience and ensuring that our store remains well-stocked and organized.

Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively upsell and cross-sell items.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer engagement.
- Supervise stock levels, ensuring shelves are well-stocked and organized for optimal presentation.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the store.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred.
- Strong cash handling skills with an understanding of retail math principles.
- Familiarity with POS systems and ability to learn new technology quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Experience in supervising or training new staff is a plus but not required.
