AUTOMOTIVE GROUP CONTROLLER
Rairdon Auto Group has an opportunity for an experienced Full-Time Group Controller located in our Nissan of Auburn dealership! Experience in Multi-Store Dealership Accounting Management required! This position oversees accounting offices for 7 of our locations. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who want to succeed and grow with the company.
Pay: $150,000-$175,000 annually. (DOE)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interprets and analyzes the financial statements continually and informs Dealership/CFO.
- Work closely with Department Managers with reporting of expenses.
- Ensures adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards. Prepare for and manage audits.
- Enforce internal control systems to safeguard the company
- Prepares or reviews monthly financial statements according to dealership guidelines, within each manufacturer’s format and time frame.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and review with CFO
- Prepares analysis of accounts as required and provides support to senior management for strategic decision making.
- Reviews cash flow management by working with the Office Managers to follow contracts in-transit and vehicle receivables.
- Review or compute Sales Tax monthly.
- Reviews the general ledger and scheduled accounts. Notes any unusual entries and investigates and reports it back to the CFO.
- Ensures all manufacturer accounts including warranty claims, rebates, interest and co-op advertising accounts are current and accurate.
- Ability to step in and cover Office Manager responsibilities in times of need.
- Monitor all schedules and financial reports monthly.
Supervisory responsibilities
- Directly supervise accounting department management, including mentoring the office management team.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Interview, hire and train potential employees.
- Plan, assign and direct work appropriately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
- High-volume multi-store dealership accounting experience required
- Strong accounting leadership skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Working knowledge of desks in the office
- Good social and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative with office team and dealership department managers
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Paid Time Off:
- All employees earn 1 hour of paid time off for every 40 hours worked in compliance with the applicable state paid sick leave law.
- Following 36 months of continuous service, full-time employees will earn an additional 40 hours of RAG PTO on each anniversary date. Following 120 months of continuous service, full-time employees will earn 80 hours of RAG PTO on each anniversary date.
