What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Partsroom Attendant position at Rana Meal Solutions?
Shift Hours: 12pm-8:30pm
Purpose of Position
This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized parts storeroom. This role ensures accurate ordering, labeling and location of parts as well as receiving parts into our computerized inventory system. This role is also responsible for maintaining accurate and timely inventory counts in accordance with RMS inventory policies and CMMS (eMaint) requirements. This position works hand in hand with maintenance personnel to research, issue and order parts based on plant maintenance needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure proper labeling of parts and parts bins are maintained
- Ordering parts based on established and approved min/max inventory levels
- Receive parts into computerized inventory system
- Pull and stage parts for workorder kitting
- Perform inventory cycle counts
- Ensure inventory counts in computerized inventory system match physical inventory on floor
- Maintain a clean and organized storeroom and storeroom records.
- Support Parts Coordinator and Maintenance Planner as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED with 3 years of maintenance parts room experience
- A working knowledge of maintenance spare parts management and sourcing
- Flexibility and willingness to fulfill assigned activities, according to the needs of an ever-changing business environment
- Must possess strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to leveraging system and tools
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Must have good interpersonal skills to interact/contribute to the maintenance team
- Must have a team/collaboration-based approach to decision making
- Must have a "Can Do” attitude and a willingness to assist others in completing activities as needed
- Able to embrace change, shift priorities as needed, and work through ambiguity
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to formulate effective action plans and deal with issues proactively
- Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written, working with others in a professional manner
- Must be highly organized and able to manage several tasks simultaneously.
Requirements:
- Maintenance Inventory systems experience.
- Selected candidates must have strong communication and PC skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT. Interpersonal skills as well as:
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Superior problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to use multiple PC applications simultaneously i.e. Microsoft Office Products, Adobe Creative Suite Applications
- Ability to work with maintenance parts vendors for sourcing and procurement of spare parts
- Ability to quickly grasp new applications.
- Demonstrates continuous improvement mindset.
Basic Job Qualification:
- Previous supply chain, inventory systems, maintenance shop, or logistics experience.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Strong CMMS experience SAP a plus
