Position Title : Accounting Specialist
Reports To : Controller
Status : Exempt
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing various financial tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Responsibilities :
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including timely processing and recording of invoices, payments, and receipts.
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to financial transactions.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
Help in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting procedures and internal controls.
Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance.
Provide support during audits and collaborate with auditors as needed.
Perform other ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as assigned.

Requirements :
Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other related field; preferred
Proven experience as an Accounting Specialist or similar role
Strong knowledge of accounts receivable principles and best practices
Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
Knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with relevant accounting regulations and standards.
Experience with ERP systems; a plus
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
