What are the responsibilities and job description for the Criminal Justice Dual Diagnosis Therapist position at Ravenwood Health?

Licensed master’s level Counselor or Social Worker to provide client care for our outpatient dual diagnosis substance use program. The position includes working individually with self-referred and court ordered adult clients. In addition, there will be some therapeutic group facilitation. Close collaboration with the court system personnel, including adult probation and attorneys, Job and Family Services and other treatment providers. The ideal candidate works well as part of a treatment team, has experience working with addiction and providing timely written documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides individual treatment for clients with mental health and substance use history
- Counsel clients individually and/or in group sessions to assist with meeting treatment goals
- Formulate treatment plans based on a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment of the client
- Regularly review and update treatment plans based on the client’s clinical needs
- Refer clients to other support services including detoxification, intensive programming, psychiatric, social services programs, and employment services as needed
- Complete adequate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
- Attends and participates in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings, monthly all staff meetings and other meetings as requested
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external providers
- Work closely as an interdisciplinary team that encompasses assessment, service planning and intervention
- Attends weekly treatment team meetings to review progress on cases and ongoing treatment needs
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Master’s level counselor or social work, marriage & family therapist
- LPC, LSW, MFT, LPCC, LISW, LPCC-S, LISW-S (Ohio License)
- Experience working with clients who have substance use backgrounds
- Drivers license required
