Job Title: Estimator

Job Description:

The Estimator is responsible for synthesizing product cost information using design software, vendor quotes, and proprietary estimation tools in creating an estimate of materials and labor of the project. Proficiency in reading architectural drawings, Excel, and other common office software is a plus. The Estimator works alongside Sales and Pricing teams to provide accurate and timely quotes to customers.

Job Requirements:

- High School Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred)

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel

- Effective written and oral communication skills

- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task

- High attention to detail

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Skills and Experience Desired:

- Previous metal building estimation experience

- Education or experience in detailing or drafting

- Previous work in the PEMB industry

- Ability to read architectural drawings

- Experience with MBS software

- Undergrad education in architecture, engineering, or construction management

Daily Tasks:

- Review and update job scopes

- Use MBS to assist in determining building material cost

- Use tools to determine building costs associated with engineering, detailing, and erection

- Communicate with multiple departments within Red Dot to ensure the scope is accurate and fully encompassing

Additional Information:

- Salary & Compensation Based on Skills and Experience, But Highly Competitive

- Working in-person from the Athens, TX office is preferred but remote work can be accommodated after initial period of working in-person
