The Role:
We’re looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our Seattle product development team. Together we’ll be solving complex problems in identity verification (IDV), fraud, risk mitigation, real estate, and financial services (fin-tech) leveraging red violet’s big data solutions. Our current product suite includes a broad spectrum of API, webapp, mobile and batch solutions enabling comprehensive identity research.
What You Will Do:
- Join a mid-sized engineering team, working closely with data scientists, engineers, and business product management.
- Take ownership of our product requirements: partner with business owners to define requirements to break them down for engineering execution (features, user stories, acceptance criteria).
- Working in Agile framework with engineering teams and ensure we're shipping high-quality software solutions on spec and on time.
- Ensure last mile excellence – work across engineering, QA, product support to dive deep as needed to ensure features built to design and drive customer impact.
- Work with Executive Management, Product management, and Sales to define and drive the product roadmap.
- Partner with project management to refine processes for product delivery.
- Collaborate closely with your colleagues and build a cohesive team culture.
- Any other tasks assigned accordingly.
What You Bring:
- 3-5 years as a Product Owner or relevant Product Management roles.
- Experience working with smaller, fast-paced engineering teams - ideally in a startup environment.
- Familiarity with Product Ownership in multiple development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.) and understand how the methodologies are applied to get things done in the real world.
- Direct experience working breaking down requirements for engineering teams in Agile methodologies to help plan and execute on multiple concurrent projects.
- Exceptional communication, project management skills and customer-focused delivery.
- Experience with Web/Mobile applications as well as REST APIs and integration tools such at Postman/Swagger.
- Great leadership skills and ability to lead teams of highly talented and independent individuals.
- A deep understanding of software development the role product ownership plays with a track record of driving product requirements.
- Capability to come up to speed on technical implementations (services, integration points, mobile solutions etc.. )
- Previous experience in project/program management driving timelines/delivery a plus.
- Industry experience in identity verification, public sector, financial services a plus.
