Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Star*Net and knowledge of field equipment operation.
A Professional license is a plus but not required.
Duties
- Conduct land surveys using advanced equipment such as Trimble and 3D scanners to gather accurate data.
- Draft survey plans and designs utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D software
- Research state, county, and city records
- Do construction staking and prepare Topographic and ALTA Surveys
- Develop Preliminary and Final Plats, Certified Survey Maps, and Condominium Plats
- Write land and airspace descriptions and prepare elevation certificates
- Supervise technicians and coordinate research
- Make sure equipment is functional
Experience
- 4 years of proven experience in land surveying
- Civil technology associate's degree or higher
- Driver's license
- Proficiency in using software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Word/Excel, and Star*Net
- Capable of producing geometric layout and design for certified survey maps and subdivisions
- Knowledge of subdivision regulations and land use for lots/sites
- PLS or certified survey technician is a plus but not required
