What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Controller position at Redlands Community Hospital?
Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position is responsible for the operational oversight and supervision of accounts payable, cash and investments, fixed assets, budgeting, productivity, and general accounting. Under the direction of the Director of Finance, the Assistant Controller directs and coordinates the daily activities of the accounting staff to record revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities quickly and accurately. This role is responsible for the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, monthly financial reporting of the Hospital and Redlands Community Hospital Foundation, quarterly consolidating financials development, audit schedules, budgeting, productivity reporting analysis, preparation of 990’s, Cost Report Data submission and OSHPD reporting and audits.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum seven years’ experience, supervisor experience preferred.
- Proficient working with hospital related computer systems, advanced skills in Excel and other Microsoft applications. Knowledge of GAAP, Idea Budget, and Kaufman Hall.
