This position will assist with the daily operations of the Disability Services Office.
Responsibilities
- Maintain coverage of the front desk and check-in all walk-in students while managing incoming calls
- Respond to general student inquiries
- Review and assign statuses to student applications
- Assist the accommodation coordinators with larger tasks by obtaining and providing accessible course materials/books as well as securing and providing notes from peer notetakers
- Candidates with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree are encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated understanding of client confidentiality
- Must be able to display compassion and empathy when interacting with students and hearing their stories
- Desire for accessibility and equal access for students with disabilities
