Reinhardt University is currently accepting applications for a Head Women’s Soccer Coach for Athletics.
Position Summary:
The Head Women’s Soccer Coach is a member of the Reinhardt University Athletic Department. The coach is responsible for maintaining positive public relations for the Athletic Department and for the development of the student athletes within the intercollegiate soccer program.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree- A Master’s Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a High School Head Coach or as a Collegiate Head/Assistant Coach.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:
- Directly reports to the VP for Athletics
- Primary responsibilities are coaching and teaching soccer skills.
- Responsible for the supervision of their respective staff.
- Prepares and maintains budget.
- Prepares inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Reports on the needs and maintenance of facilities and equipment to the VP for Athletics.
- Recruits student athletes.
- Attends professional meetings, clinics, and workshops, etc.
- Organizes and conducts practice sessions.
- Works with the Athletic Operations Manager and VP for Athletics regarding publicity and promotion of his/her team.
- Works with the VP for Athletics on scheduling games.
- Recommends student athletes for awards.
- Furnishes information regarding team roster for eligibility, etc. to the VP for Athletics.
- Responsible for developing training rules and conduct of athletes.
- Responsible for other details or any other assignment by the VP for Athletics.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Acceptance of service on university committee’s
- Attendance at convocations, graduations, etc.
- Attendance at other campus functions such as plays, dinners, music recitals, etc. when at all possible.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Abides by the NAIA rules.
- Ability to recruit student athletes.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements of the Job:
- Develop a work schedule (office hours) that makes him/her accessible to the student athletes and other schools.
- Responsible for other details or any other assignment by the VP for Athletics.
