Machine and Equipment Operator

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, such as a loader and excavator, and be able to efficiently run a variety of machines including a top-soil shredder and concrete crusher. In addition to operating machinery, this role includes responsibilities such as loading trucks, taking and filling orders, and assisting with accurate billing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, topsoil shredders, and concrete crushers.
• Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
• Take and fill customer orders accurately and promptly.
• Assist in the operation and maintenance of machinery and ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
• Aid in the accurate billing process, ensuring all details are correctly recorded.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance of machinery.
• Work closely with the team to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating heavy machinery such as loaders and excavators is preferred.
• Ability to operate topsoil shredders and concrete crushers is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials when necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Training:

• On-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate, including proper machine operation and safety procedures.
• Training in billing and order management will be provided as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and inclement weather.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
