Position: Human Resources Manager
Organizational Relationship: Reports to Brian Buyea, President.
Job Summary:
Remtec is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Human Resources Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of HR practices and processes. This includes compensation, performance management, employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. The HR Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring that the organization's HR policies align with its overall goals and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the Company’s goals.
- Coach and mentor managers and employees on various HR related initiatives and develop proactive employee relations strategies.
- Act as a strategic Business Partner to management to meet employee needs while maintaining alignment with the Company practices and achieving business goals.
- Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants.
- Create employee training and development programs, including onboarding and ongoing personal and professional development opportunities.
- Manage performance appraisal processes and provide guidance and support to managers and employees.
- Create a compensation strategy for new hires and current employees based on market research as well as a compensation system.
- Responsible for benefits administration including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
- Manage partnerships with external benefits providers and vendors.
- Manage the leave process for MA paid sick and family leave and long-term disability.
- Lead employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Manage immigration process including new visas and renewals.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Stay up to date on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Minimum Job Qualifications Required:
- BA/BS degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field required
- 5-10 years of experience in Human Resources at a growing company, preferably in manufacturing
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to interact across the organization and build trusting relationships
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to act with uncompromising integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
- Working knowledge of State and Federal laws along with practical usage
- Proficiency in MS Office required
- Advanced knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new technical systems, when necessary
Qualifications Preferred:
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Experience working with ADP strongly preferred
- Experience working with Epicor strongly preferred
- SHRM-CP highly desired
- Awareness of ITAR Regulations is preferred
