Qualifications:
Associate's Degree Required Experience shipping and receiving lab samples and consumables DOT, RCRA, IATA certifications preferred FDNY C-14 Certificate of Fitness preferred Experience aliquoting preferred Understanding of laboratory safety protocols and requirements Data entry and computer skills Must be detail oriented and have organizational skills Experience in Research Lab environment required
Responsibilities:
Handling and preparing samples for testing. Maintaining and documenting accurate records. Receive, unload, unpack, and inspect all laboratory deliveries. Manage lab inventory logistics in the laboratory/stockrooms as they arrive according to departments. Report damages or shortages to supervisors. Match shipments to their associated requestor and enter receiving data in purchase request database. Monitor laboratory inventory levels daily. Maintain HSE compliance of all receiving areas. Assist with outgoing lab shipments Assist with lab waste disposal Assist with domestic outgoing lab shipments Aliquoting, glass washing, and autoclaving Work on short term projects
Comments/Special Instructions
This is an onsite lab environment position. Will be lifting at least 50 pounds and will also require PPE which is provided by the client. Hep B vaccine or tither is required.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $34.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 per week
