Title: Senior Vice President, Sales

Location: Beaverton, OR

 

Job Summary

The Senior Vice President, Sales is responsible for leading sales teams in driving revenue growth and achievement of sales targets.  

 

Essential Position Functions

• Provides leadership for the sales strategy and execution for assigned sales channels.  

• Develops strategic partnerships both internally and externally and works collaboratively with senior leadership and other departments to ensure sales initiatives are in line with the broader company business objectives.

• Provides direction on broker partnerships and distributors to ensure efficient and effective sales process.

• In close partnership with marketing, identifies new opportunities for the sales team to expand the company’s brand presence and increase market share.

• Directs sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.

• Establishes and monitor key performance indicators to track performance and make data-driven decisions.

• Remains informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Uses this knowledge to direct teams in adapting sales strategies and to maintain a competitive advantage.

• Analyzes and evaluates sales methodology, costs, and pricing.

• Develops and recommends policy and procedures to improve sales processes and function.

• Leads and directs the work of others.  Responsible for creating a cohesive and collaborative team environment.  

• Establishes and communicates clear performance objectives for the team to achieve, overseeing the operations of the team and/or department. Provides coaching for development and timely performance feedback.  

• Managerial responsibility for staff employment decisions in accordance with company policy.

• Identifies training needs, supporting employee development as part of planning for department succession plans.

 

 

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related discipline is required.  MBA is preferred.

• Minimum of 15 years of sales experience, or a combination of sales and marketing.

• 10 years in a senior leadership role in the consumer-packaged goods industry required.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Proven track record of leading teams in achieving and exceeding sales targets.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and deliver results.

• Experience in sales forecasting and strong analytical skills.

• Additional experience in Marketing, Production Innovation, and/or R&D preferred.

 

 

Physical Demands and Working Conditions: 

• Office environment.

• Travel up to 50% of the time.

 

This position is eligible for performance-based bonuses.
