Job Summary
The Senior Vice President, Sales is responsible for leading sales teams in driving revenue growth and achievement of sales targets.
Essential Position Functions
- Provides leadership for the sales strategy and execution for assigned sales channels.
- Develops strategic partnerships both internally and externally and works collaboratively with senior leadership and other departments to ensure sales initiatives are in line with the broader company business objectives.
- Provides direction on broker partnerships and distributors to ensure efficient and effective sales process.
- In close partnership with marketing, identifies new opportunities for the sales team to expand the company’s brand presence and increase market share.
- Directs sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
- Establishes and monitors key performance indicators to track performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Remains informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Uses this knowledge to direct teams in adapting sales strategies and to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Analyzes and evaluates sales methodology, costs, and pricing.
- Develops and recommends policy and procedures to improve sales processes and function.
- Leads and directs the work of others. Responsible for creating a cohesive and collaborative team environment.
- Establishes and communicates clear performance objectives for the team to achieve, overseeing the operations of the team and / or department. Provides coaching for development and timely performance feedback.
- Managerial responsibility for staff employment decisions in accordance with company policy.
- Identifies training needs, supporting employee development as part of planning for department succession plans.
