RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an entry level to experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.

Entry Level Mechanical Engineer
The role involves supporting documentation and development for new diesel engine products. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining production engine specifications, supporting customer service, marketing, and application & installation groups, participating in cost reduction and quality improvement projects, and troubleshooting engines.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing special rating requests and emission requests
- Supporting new diesel engine product documentation
- Rating documentation for engine certification and labeling
- Publication and maintenance of technical performance data
- Production engine test cell specification creation and maintenance
- Supporting Customer Service, Marketing and Application & Installation groups
- Supporting cost reduction and product quality projects
- Engine troubleshooting
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited university.
- A basic understanding of diesel engine operation and trouble shooting skills
- Experience with reporting tools or database management (Excel and Power BI Preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of diesel engine operation and trouble shooting skills
- Engine Simulation Experience
- The proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people
- Understanding of large diesel engines
- Advanced computer skills such as Macro writing or Visual Basic for Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access database creation and data management, SQL, Crystal Reports, or Power BI.

Pay Range: $65,000-$80,000 – Commensurate with experience
