We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Technical Training Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction and a passion for teaching and developing others. The Technical Training Instructor will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering technical training programs for our employees, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their jobs safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive technical training programs for various roles within the company, including equipment operators, laborers, and foremen.
- Create training materials, including manuals, presentations, and hands-on activities, tailored to the specific needs of the company and its projects.
- Conduct training sessions in classroom settings, on job sites, and through virtual platforms as needed.
- Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and consultations with managers and employees.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure training content is relevant and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with the safety department to integrate safety protocols and procedures into all training programs.
- Provide mentorship and support to employees, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Maintain detailed records of training activities, attendance, and certifications.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the civil construction industry, with at least 2 years in a training or instructional role.
- In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, equipment, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with learning management systems (LMS).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
- bilingual candidates are preferred.
- Available to work overtime as needed
