What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Receptionist & Event Concierge position at Risk Strategies?

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic Events and Marketing Team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to ensure the smooth operation of events and marketing activities. This role involves a variety of tasks, including answering the events line, registering attendees, preparing event materials, managing inventory, and overseeing the front desk.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties

  • Answer and manage the events line, providing information and assistance to callers.
  • Register participants for events, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
  • Prepare and organize event materials, including name badges, registration lists, and promotional items.
  • Assist with event set-up and tear-down, ensuring all logistical aspects are handled efficiently.
  • Serve as the lead for inventory, tracking and maintaining stock levels of event and office supplies.
  • Replenish office supplies as needed, ensuring all necessary items are available for the team.
  • Coordinate the shipping and receiving of marketing materials and other shipments.
  • Manage the front desk, greeting and assisting visitors and ensuring a welcoming environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Proven experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within events or marketing.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with event management software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Positive attitude and a customer-focused approach.
