The Part-Time Office Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing administrative duties on a professional level and will work closely with the Human Resources Department and other departments as needed. This position will provide research, administrative, and technical assistance with DOT & FMCSA compliance. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for clerical and organizational tasks which include but not be limited to data entry, file creating and organizing, drafting and sending correspondences, scheduling appointments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the HR Department, specifically the Benefits and Compliance Coordinator.
- Perform administrative duties, such as answering and making phone calls, filing, scanning, and printing.
- Complete DOT Employment Verifications and Requests.
- Assist with collecting and updating DOT medical cards.
- Ensure compliance with DOT & FMCSA requirements when it comes to employee filing and drug testing.
- Coordinate and maintain CDL Class enrollment.
- Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution of their questions or concerns as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED and
- Minimum of 1 year experience in database management and or a closely related field.
- Proficient with MS Word & Excel
- Strong interpersonal, communication, follow-up, problem solving and creative thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, team player with excellent people skills.
- High level of discretion with confidential material.
- Strong ethics and reliability.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
- Maintaining attention to detail is a requirement for this position.
Preferred Requirements:
- Associate degree in Human Resources or closely related field
- 2 to 3 years of experience with DOT & FMCSA compliance
