Join our Early Head Start Team as an Educator where you can EMPOWER parents and pregnant mothers! We are partnered with Sacramento Employment Training Agency Early Head Start (EHS), offering services and resources for parents of kiddos 0-3 years old.

Program Summary:
Early Head Start (EHS) program tailors services for children age birth to 3 years, and pregnant women to improve outcomes in cognitive, language and social-emotional development through weekly home visits. Referrals and access to community resources, group socialization activities and preschool readiness are offered. We work in partnership with Sacramento employment Training Agency Early Head Start (EHS).
Job Responsibilities:
- Under general supervision, the Early Head Start Educator is responsible for the planning, and implementation of individualized community based programs for a specific number of infants/toddlers and their families.
- Serve as the familys primary contact, developing an on-going relationship within the family and works to build upon the strengths and self-sufficiency of the family members.
- In addition, the educator provides weekly home based visits.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, the child and their families.
- Identify problems, determine possible solutions, and actively work to resolve issues.
- Proficient with Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Maintain a variety of online recordkeeping and documentation processes and systems for assigned clinical program; ensure all relevant confidentiality and privacy requirements are met
Minimum Qualifications:
- AA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, at least six (6) of the ECE units must be in Infant & Toddler development.
- PLUS at least one (1) year of successful work experience in an infant/toddler program or in a Head Start program.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, communications, and counseling skills.
- Able to influence people in a positive manner, prioritize responsibilities, and build rapport with a wide variety of individuals.
