Position: Medical Response Officer

Position Summary:
As a Medical Response Officer at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests and team members. You will handle medical emergencies, perform security duties, verify patron identification, assist in emergency procedures, and address patron inquiries and complaints. This role requires Pennsylvania EMT or EMR certification, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to all medical incidents on the property.
- Perform security duties as outlined by the Security Department policies and procedures, ensuring the protection of company assets and the safety and welfare of guests and team members.
- Prepare detailed reports as required.
- Verify patron identification to prevent individuals under 21 from accessing the Rivers Casino Pittsburgh property.
- Assist in the implementation of emergency procedures.
- Handle patron inquiries and complaints, seeking support from a Security Supervisor when necessary.
- Operate as Security Officer I, II, and III as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Pennsylvania Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification required
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a casino or hotel environment preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, supervisors, and guests in English
- Proficiency in various computer programs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.), preferred.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Certifications:
- Must be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming License. Rivers Casino will assist in the application process and pays the fee associated with this license.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking and sitting
- Regular bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching
- Ability to push/pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently
