Job Description
Full-time, year round (school year, 5-week summer school and orientation days) position requiring professionalism, maturity, initiative and a positive, proactive, student-oriented style. Provide direct and ongoing supervision, instruction and support to all assigned students, while coordinating day-to-day operations of a dormitory. Provide a highly-structured and therapeutic dormitory environment designed to promote growth and independence through assessment, direct instruction, positive reinforcement and the setting of clear and consistent expectations. Meet the individual and collective needs of assigned students relative to their unique learning styles, social/emotional needs, and the fostering of independent living skills.
Desired qualifications include a degree in Human Services, Education or related field and/or experience working with children and adolescents with learning differences and/or intellectual disabilities within a residential setting. A current valid driver's license and CORI/Fingerprint clearance required.
