What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUD Therapist position at Riverwood Center?
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides individual and group substance use and co-occurring therapy to consumers and their families in a manner that is consistent with evidence-based treatment standards and best practice guidelines. Prepares comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans and periodic reviews. Completes brief assessments, crisis intervention and pre-screens as needed.
EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in an appropriate mental health discipline.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE: One to two years’ experience providing individual and group treatment to individuals with substance use or co-occurring disorders. Excellent computer and interpersonal skills, punctuality, ability to organize and manage several projects/tasks simultaneously, and work independently.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS: Licensed by the Michigan Department of Commerce or Professional Regulation as a TLLP, LLP, LLPC, LPC, LMSW or LLMSW and must be a Certified Advanced Addictions and Drug Counselor (CAADC) or meet requirements to be on a Development Plan for CAADC or eligible for reciprocity and must become fully licensed with-in 30 months of date of hire.
