Director of Agency Relations

Description

We are looking for a Director of Agency Relations to join our client's team in Memphis, Tennessee. This role involves managing the activities of the Agency Relations and Program Services Team, overseeing agency orders, and managing relationships with our Partner Agencies. As part of your responsibilities, you will also ensure the compliance of our Partner Agencies with policies and procedures and assist with the strategic spending of grant funds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Agency Relations and Program Services Team, ensuring smooth onboarding processes, conducting regular one-on-ones, and facilitating annual staff reviews.
• Ensure agency orders are accurately processed and posted in a timely manner.
• Act as the point of contact for all software used by departments, such as CERES, Agency Express, and Fresh Trak.
• Assist in the preparation, administration, and management of annual budgets for Agency Relations.
• Oversee compliance of Partner Agencies with policies and procedures, and collaborate with them to maximize their contributions to the hunger relief network.
• Implement capacity framework activities and manage strategic spending of grant funds.
• Identify and establish key strategic partner relationships and participate in onboarding new partners.
• Track and report on Agency Relations key metrics promptly.
• Respond to client complaints at Partner Agencies as outlined by the complaint process.
• Oversee the maintenance of partner agency files in line with Feeding America guidelines.
• Ensure equitable access to food on a statewide basis by utilizing gap analysis and other tools.
• Prepare and distribute an agency newsletter monthly.
• Manage the execution of ongoing engagement programming for Partner Agencies.
• Collaborate with the Programs Team to produce reports that articulate progress on annual goals.
• Ensure that all programs are operating within established guidelines and that all monitoring, screening, and documentation is accomplished promptly.
  
  

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role, preferably within a non-profit or government agency setting
• Proficiency in using 3M, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Bloomberg Terminal, and CRM is required
• Demonstrated expertise in accounting functions, capital management, and cash activity management
• Proven track record of client relations and delivering superior customer service
• Experience in compliance and regulatory adherence, particularly in relation to federal and government grants
• Knowledge of contracts and grant management, including adherence to agency guidelines
• Experience in non-profit accounting is highly desirable
• Must have the ability to interpret and apply agency guidelines and federal grant requirements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage agency relationships
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to make strategic decisions
• High level of organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
