What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech RV E-Shift (Nights) position at Rockline Industries Inc?
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment reliability issues on assigned shift.
- Partners with Equipment Planner and Continuous Improvement Technicians to address equipment reliability issues.
- Completes assigned rebuild work orders.
- Ensure all parts required to repair equipment are ordered and stock recommendations are submitted.
- Plans for and performs predictive / preventive maintenance activities.
- Initiates and participates in process development activities and projects.
- Provides technical training material development and training.
- Lead projects to identify / execute continuous improvement opportunities to improve business performance.

- Associates have a direct and important role in ensuring that all work is performed in a safe manner. Effectiveness in carrying out this responsibility is part of each associate’s essential accountabilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential accountabilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.)
- Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance and 3 years experience in an Industrial environment as a Maintenance Technician or high school diploma or equivalent and 5 years experience in an industrial environment as a Maintenance Technician.
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts including nights, holidays, weekends, and overtime.
- Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects
- Solid team player interested in helping others
- Motivated self-starter
- Knowledge of OSHA and NEC Industrial Safety standards and practices
- Electrical Abilities:
Able to understand and test Wye and Delta power configurations
Good understanding of electrical instrumentation: multimeters, voltage sticks, power supplies, etc.
Able to repair any damaged connections such as shorts and breaks in wiring, and poor terminal connections
Able to effectively use complex schematics to trouble shoot machinery in a timely manner
Understand and able to consistently repeat proper motor installation
- Mechanical Abilities:
Able to safely operate shop equipment such as a milling machine, lathe, and saw
Component fabrication and assembly
Mechanical repairs and rebuild of all types
Millwright abilities (rigging, installing, removing, and alignment of equipment)
General welding (stick, tig, and mig)
- Electronic Abilities:
Able to understand basic latter and function block logic
Able to trouble shoot and program various drives
Have clear understanding of safety logic
Able to troubleshoot network related problems

- Must be able to communicate face-to-face and over the phone.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

- Frequent repetitive hand movement, reading, writing, calculating, reasoning/analyzing and social interaction.
- Requires the ability to read, write, analyze, and interact socially; calculate occasionally.
- Work environment includes occasional hot and cold temperatures as well as moving mechanical parts.
- Requires color vision.
