Role:
Assist the Controller in maintaining the Credit Union's financial records by preparing daily general ledger transactions, monthly financial reports and various daily accounting duties. Support the credit union's financial management and accounting operations through maintenance of accounting records and reports. Perform routine assigned tasks within the accounting department according to established procedures. Present a friendly, professional, and personable attitude that communicates to members, staff, and visitors that the credit union is a friendly and professional financial institution.
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: A college degree and/or specialized training or certification. Formal training should be supplemented with continuing education.
Work Environment: The job is scheduled during normal credit union business hours and at a branch location. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The job calls for a high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations. The job requires a high degree of attention to detail.
