Romac is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler to join our team and contribute to our mission of “connecting people to water”. As our new team member, you will have a chance to play a key role in coordinating production schedules to meet customer demands, working collaboratively with various departments to ensure operational efficiency. This role operates under limited supervision.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Responsibilities
- Demand Forecasting Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and management teams to understand demand forecasts and align production schedules with anticipated customer needs. Adjust and review inventory buffers based on these forecasts to ensure responsiveness.
- Buffer Level Management: Regularly assess and adjust inventory buffer levels based on variability in demand and supply, ensuring they are aligned with actual performance and market conditions.
- Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory, production efficiency, and lead times; as well a system reliability, stability, and velocity. Generate/review reports to provide insights into operational performance and areas for improvement.
- Change Management: Manage changes in production plans or schedules due to unforeseen events (e.g., equipment breakdowns, material shortages) and communicate these changes effectively to all stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Actively participate in initiatives aimed at improving processes and reducing waste within the production environment, in line with Lean principles and DDMRP methodologies.
- Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to team members on DDMRP principles, inventory management practices, and the use of relevant software tools to enhance overall team capability.
- Product Review: Communicate with Product Structure to address any concerns or discrepancies related to an item’s Routing or bill of materials.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively both in person and remotely.
- Excellent follow-through and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in Windows-based operating systems.
- Familiarity with Oracle or Similar software and its applications in production scheduling.
Compensation: $27.02 - $39.18
