YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY :
The Safety Administrator is responsible for assisting the safety department with documentation, recordkeeping control along with assisting with developing, maintaining, and organizing safety programs and procedures. This position will report to the Director of Corporate Safety and work closely with the safety department within the region
WHAT YOU'LL DO :
Act as liaison between supervisor and others (i.e., departments, external contacts, vendors, clients, etc.)
Responsible for incident documentation recordkeeping along with uploading to safety management system
Record and maintain incident and injury files, lessons learned, safety alerts, Root Cause Analysis on safety management system
Run weekly and quarterly reports on incident and injury status
Run weekly and quarterly reports for open items on Safety Management System and distribute to stakeholders
Update and track safety statistics quarterly / yearly by division (include region safety goal)
Assist with the coordination, editing, and distribution of the Weekly Safety Toolbox Talks
Assist with the organization of Safety Department trainings, meeting, events, & team building events
Assist with creating Safety Manual binders, ordering OSHA compliance posters, & creating job start-up kits for new projects.
Assist with New Hire Orientation - keep inventory of PPE available, order replacement PPE, maintain safety training forms & assisting the facilitating the New Hire Orientation process as need
Assist with entering safety trainings and tracking expired training on Rosendin Learn

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL :
Proficiency in using a computer, filing, and utilizing Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
Effective oral and written communication skills is required for the position
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and field level employees
Willing to gain an understanding of Safety related disciplines and obtain supporting certifications
Self-starter, Excellent communication and follow-up, Initiative and driven, organization and planning, proactive approach, customer focus and empathetic nature, Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Familiar with Safety Management Systems Software
WHAT YOU BRING TO US :
Associate degree in Business Administration, Safety Management, Risk Management, or equivalent.
A minimum of (2) years of experience executing the role of a Safety Administrator, Safety Professional, Risk Professional, or equivalent
TRAVEL :
Sterling, Virginia Office based position
WORKING CONDITIONS :
General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
