Job Summary:
Roto-Rooter is looking for a results-driven Service Manager to lead our plumbing and drain service team in the Peoria area. This position focuses on driving revenue growth through strong sales strategies, effective customer relations, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background with a passion for customer service and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Revenue Growth: Set ambitious sales targets, implement upselling strategies, and coach technicians to identify opportunities for additional services that meet customer needs.
- Customer Relations & Retention: Engage directly with customers to ensure satisfaction, foster long-term relationships, and identify potential for service expansion or repeat business.
- Team Leadership & Sales Coaching: Lead, train, and motivate a team of technicians, with a focus on maximizing their sales potential and enhancing their customer interaction skills.
- Performance Tracking: Analyze team performance metrics, monitor revenue growth, and identify areas for improvement. Develop action plans to address gaps and drive continuous sales improvement.
- Service Quality & Customer Feedback: Ensure a high standard of service on every job, gathering and acting on customer feedback to refine and enhance service offerings.
- Inventory & Upselling: Manage inventory effectively and encourage technicians to recommend and provide additional products or services where applicable.
Qualifications:
- Sales Experience: 3 years in a sales-oriented management role, preferably within plumbing, HVAC, or a related service industry.
- Skills: Strong sales, customer service, and leadership skills, with a proven ability to coach and develop sales-oriented teams.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree or sales certifications are a plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of plumbing or drain systems, with experience using scheduling or sales software tools.
