Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Account Manager to oversee and grow an assigned portfolio of physical client stores within the tri-state area for one of our portfolio companies. This role requires balancing the energy and efficiency of outbound sales with the strategic care and rapport-building of account management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering long-term relationships while driving frequent purchasing and business growth for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
- Build and maintain trust through consistent communication and personalized support.
- Provide exceptional service by addressing concerns promptly and fostering loyalty.
Sales & Growth:
- Actively engage clients to promote frequent and consistent purchases.
- Identify and execute opportunities to expand client spend through upselling, cross-selling, and tailored recommendations.
- Keep clients informed about product offerings, promotions, and relevant updates.
Order Support:
- Guide clients through the purchasing process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Offer creative solutions and product suggestions to meet client goals.
- Ensure seamless delivery coordination and follow-up for all orders.
Strategic Account Oversight:
- Monitor and analyze client purchasing patterns to identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain detailed records of interactions and sales performance using CRM tools.
- Share actionable insights with the sales and operations teams to enhance strategies and offerings.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in account management, sales, or customer service, ideally within a high-volume or distribution context.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport.
- Proactive and organized, with an aptitude for managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Comfortable with outbound sales strategies, including phone and in-person client interactions.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite.
