Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for the operation of manufacturing equipment while also working with raw materials used in the manufacturing process. The Manufacturing Supervisor works closely with the Manufacturing Manager in the safe and cost-effective operation of the facility. The position is responsible for facilitating aspects of the production department to ensure achievement of Royal Oak Enterprises’ goals and objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize and direct the Manufacturing Department.
- Work with functional leaders to develop and implement plants to efficiently use materials, labor and equipment to meet quality and production targets.
- Ensure that team members are responsible for their safety, the safety of their team members, and the quality of the production.
- Assist Manufacturing Manager with formulation accuracy, raw material inventory control and month end inventory accuracy.
- Provide full cycle performance management support for direct reports including career development plans.
- Achieve project or departmental objectives within the agreed time, cost, and quality parameters.
- Focuses on ongoing process improvement.
Position Requirements and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Engineering or a Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment, both mechanical and electrical.
- Proficient with MS Office suite, experience with Gantt charting, and related tools and technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Creative problem solver.
- Positive attitude with a track record of delivering results.
- Self-motivated with strong ability to multitask and operate with minimal supervision.
- Ability to motivate, manage, and develop people of all skill levels effectively.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Ability to stand approximately 75% of work time; sitting at a workstation 25% of the time.
- Must be able to travel 10-15 percent of work time.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. continuously during shift, including twisting, turning, or bending with or without product in hand.
- Ability to work overtime or on weekends with short notice.
- Ability to work in extreme environmental temperatures.
- Typical Production manufacturing facility with concrete floors and moving equipment.
