What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finisher, 1st Shift Monday - Friday, 6am - 3pm or 2nd shift Monday - Friday, 3pm - 12:30am position at Royal?
Finishers use various processes in our manufacturing facility to complete parts per specification and frequently use power tools, including routers, band and table saws, and mills. They also use various hand tools and employ various methods to file, sand, and paint parts. After working on a part, finishers use measuring instruments to determine conformance to specifications.
• Read, initial, and follow planners and work orders.
• Utilize various finishing methods including sanding, filing, and painting per specifications within the labor targets.
• Inspect or measure finished work pieces to determine conformance to specifications using instruments.
• Use various tools and machines including router, band and table saws, mill, and hand tools per specification.
• Use various measuring instruments such as gauges and micrometers.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual, and reliable attendance as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Abide by all safety, quality, personnel, and other policies as applicable.
Marginal Duties
• Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation to accurately record time worked on parts.
• Specification testing per customer and certification requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned for the good of the department and company.
• Be actively engaged in the department’s 6S program and complete all necessary paperwork.
